I didn't see it as I read it, but looking back I can decipher her subtleties in terms of his relationship with Grindelwald, and it makes Dumbledore's story just so much more poignant. Although I was a little disappointed with Rowling, because now she's talking this up as if it was supposed to be a big part of the theme of tolerance for all. If that's what she was aiming for, she should have made it more obvious in the story, instead of waiting for everyone to buy the book.
No one asked, but for reference, my long answer was 644 words, my "Why Brown?" was 248 words (1,490 chars - I'm submitting it online), and I'm still working on my "Who interested you in Brown?" short answer, but that is going to be within the character limit listed online. I'll let you know what the word count turns out to be on that. |
