Mine provides a special eSpend card--a "substitute" debit card number that can only be used online and has other characteristics (which escape me at the moment) that make it difficult to compromise. My debit card number was stolen online once, so I don't recommend it. I have been banking and shopping online for years, but since that incident I've never used my debit card number. |
