I'm an NEPA native, and have personally known many students (from my own high school, and other local schools) who have gone onto study at Wilkes, Kings and Scranton.

Around the area locals hold all three of the schools in high regard, but I'd have to say that Scranton has the best reputation of the three. It sends many of its students on to great medical and veterinary schools, and its science programs are very strong. I don't know much about their other curriculum, but science majors that go to Scranton tend to comment on the intensity of the program.

My cousin is a Scranton freshman this year, and she seems to be a big fan so far, except for the fact that she's living in a triple.

As far as Wilkes and Kings are concerned, they're very near one another, but they're obviously in Wilkes-Barre, which is a bit further from me than Scranton so I don't really know as much about them besides the fact that Wilkes is known for its pharmacy program.

I hope that helped. If you have any other questions about the area or anything feel free to ask!
