In our class a lil over half get 5's, and a lil under half get As. Sounds fair to me!

I think As should correlate with mostly 5s, some 4s,
Bs should correlate to mostly 4s, some 3s,
Cs should correlate to mostly 3s, some 2s,
Ds and Fs to students that are at 2 or 1 level.
