>>"and i personally had great relationships that went far beyond ones i would have at a day school with my teachers. my history teacher was married, but she was on dorm duty one night a week, and those nights when i could ask questions and just hang out with someone i admired so much would not have happened at home."
I had great relationships with the teachers at my school, too. I'd never think of talking to my teachers outside of class at public school unless it was for extra help. Now I just talk to my teachers for fun. I hang out in one of my houseparent's offices during my free periods just to chat. The teachers and faculty really care.
Personally, going to boarding school was the best decision I ever made. I've grown and matured soooo much in ways that I never would have been able to at public school.
