I'll start with myself:
- yes, I would feel flattered (in most cases), irrespective of age or gender (I would be most flattered if a professor stalked me). It would be different if I knew the person to dislike me (and if I thought the person's attitude towards me would not be likely to change).
But it does depend - there are those with potential to dislike me, and it's hard trying to keep those people away from my blogs/forum posts while simultaneously trying to attract potential friends.
Most of my closest friends have stalked me some time or another anyhow
(though probably not to the depth of reading my blog posts all the way to 2003)

- and yes, I am socially isolated (though maybe I'd retain my answers even if I weren't)

It might depend on the extent of the stalking though (some stalkers are really bad - I just don't see most people who would stalk me as bad, so i wouldn't worry if i noticed such a thing. usually stalking is bad when it comes to dominate the person's life and the person goes to the extent of wanting to meet you IRL)
