| GPA is done the same in all schools within UVA as far as I know.
UVA works on the 4.0 system, so 4=A, 3=B, 2=C, etc.
How to calculate GPA:
1. Multiply the numerical value for each grade in each class by the number of credits the class is. (Ex: A in 3-credit class is 3*4 = 12)
2. Add all of the above numbers (A in 3-credit = 12, A in 1-credit = 4, B in 3-credit = 9, so 12+4+9=25)
3. Divide that total number by the number of credits to get your GPA [25/(3+1+3) = 3.6) |
