If you want to live in San Diego someday, I don't think Indiana is necessarily better. There are a lot of SDSU alumni in San Diego. My guess is their allegiance will be to SDSU grads before IU grads.
As you know SDSU has a pretty good business school.
Life is what you make it anyway.
