I would stay away from drafted work btw- but other than that-- go for it. execution is key as well- if it looks sloppy it probably is. Don't be afraid to have the majority of your portfolio as something like free hand still lifes. As for buildings-- maybe one or two-- but the composition, execution, and perhaps even the "presence" counts much more than the general subject.

High quality work is high quality work there are no two ways about it.
