Crickett -- it is natural to have misgivings about such a life changing event. Our kids were unsure at times before they went, but have told us that this is the absolute greatest gift we could have given them. It's a sacrifice in many ways, but they are truly happy, challenged, thoroughly engaged and as my one child put it, "I'm really loving life right now." Every school is different. Look carefully. At the end of the day, you will end up where you need to be.
