As always, soozievt is there to help and has great advice!
Let me just say that she is right - you are lucky and probably can't go wrong with some of these choices you have.
I have 2 d's and d1 would tell you to pick NYU and d2 would tell you to pick Syracuse. Why? because even though the programs have some similariities, they also have differences - just like my daughters!
D1 is a junior at NYU and has loved Tisch and what the city can offer her. Although d2 did not go to Syracuse - it was not an easy decision to turn it down. The reason it became one of her top choices was after visiting the college on one of the accepted student days. It was a wonderful experience. She sat in on acting classes while the parents got to sit around a conference table and talk with Jim Clark for an hour and a half. It was such a great experience for her (and me)! If you liked Jim Clark at the audition - this is really intimate and all questions are welcome! She loved the acting class, students and a performance of Chicago we saw. I will say it was one of the best -if not the best college performance I have seen.
So what I am trying to say is if you can, go back to these schools now that you are accepted, and see what they offer and what it is you need as an individual to grow. They are different, and each one offers unique things the other does not.
Congratultions and good luck! |
