I agree with alwaysmom. My son has appreciated the additional perspective and more intensive training in acting/directing/design, and I'm sure it will serve him well. He also seems quite content with the extra dance classes from BDC (the instructors are amazing and he's in jazz class with Tisch dance majors) and he has 10+ years dance experience. However...I'm certain the private voice (at 30 minutes per week) is not as intensive as would be his voice experience in CAP. And, i'm imagining--although have haven't researched it--that there are other MT-specific experiences that CAP (or another straight MT programs would provide). I'm glad your daughter has some strong options to choose from. Playwrights is a lot of work. If the areas of study don't match well with your daughter's interests, or if she already has strong competencies in the courses taught, it may not be a great fit.
I don't recall where else your daughter is considering. I do know that NYU fits my son to a T (or vice versa). Finding that match seems key. Good luck to you. It's such a happy but weighty decision.
