Not an abbreviation, but here's a term you'll see on the boards:
troll
This is someone who intentionally posts inaccurate and inflammatory info in order to get a rise out of people.
After being on the boards for a while they're usually pretty obvious and easy to spot -- but everyone ends up falling for it at one time or another. IMO the best thing to do is call their bluff, stop posting on the thread, and if they are really out of hand -- report them!
