LogicWarrior, a large number of people from my high school get into Oregon. A large number of them also transferred or ended up going to our junior college, hoping to transfer later to Berkeley.
What they told me was that people at University of Oregon didn't really care about anything else but partying.
I have no firsthand experience, but it doesn't seem like a good school to me.
