Here is the reject letter:

Quote:
Dear XXXXX,

Thank you for applying for Preferred Admission to the BBA Program at the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer you admission through the Preferred Admission process. The number of highly qualified applicants far exceeded the spots available for Preferred Admission. Our decision does not affect your admission to the College of Engineering, nor does it affect your admissibility to the Ross BBA Program if you choose to re-apply as a freshman.

We hope that you will choose to enroll at the University of Michigan and re-apply to the 3-Year BBA Program for Fall 2010. The admission rate for freshman applicants is much higher than for high school seniors applying through the Preferred Admission program. If accepted, you would begin the BBA Program as a sophomore, the same time as those students admitted through Preferred Admission, and complete your degree in the ensuing three years. Academic Advisors will be available to assist you with course selection during your freshman year.

We will be holding BBA information sessions and application workshops in Fall 2009. In addition, BBA peer counselors will be available to answer questions about the program and the freshman application process. Details about these opportunities will be sent to you in the fall.

We congratulate you on your admission to the College of Engineering. We hope that you choose to come to the University of Michigan and consider re-applying to the BBA Program next year.

Go Blue!

Michelle Thompson
Director of BBA Admissions
