I don't know if I'm just missing something elementary with the new SIS method for registering for classes, but when I "browse" the course catalog, it appears to show every course ever taught in each department; it does not appear to filter and only show courses that are being taught in the Fall 2009.
Since there is no filter that I can find, it means I have to open each course only to ultimately find it is not being offered in Fall 2009. This takes a lot of clicks and is quite time consuming.
Is there some filter thing that I'm just missing? If there isn't, then I would hope that UVA would work on developing a mode so that students can easily see only the classes being offered for a given semester.
