KPGator's comments are dead nuts on. For example, my understanding is that for the class or 2009 there was one USCG Aviation Slot available and it was one of the most comeptative, if not most competative, and sought after post graduation options. The young man who got it is top notch in all respects so no "easy" or even "relatively easy" aren't words I'd use to describe the pursuit and availability of post academy military avaiation slots at any of the Service Academies or ROTC programs.
