I would give your parents a break. I would go nuts if my kids badger me about EFC and student loans at this stage. Just focus on academics in high school and you will have more options open for you, ie you don't have to go to state school. BTW, high school is a lot harder than middle school. Both of my kids had 4.0 uw GPA in middle school but at least one of them they did not have perfect GPA in high school. It seems like all the competitive kids turn up a notch( effortwise) in high school.
