First off, they didn’t offer me much in the way of financial love. Secondly, I just didn’t feel like a stand-alone conservatory was going to be the right environment for me though they are a great one. Shoot. We’ve just been through an arts high school and I have to wonder at what point one’s work becomes like so much artistic navel gazing if you spend too much time in that kind of environment. Besides, I don’t think for a minute that I’m going to be anywhere near as good as I want to be in four years no matter where I go or how intense the training may be. Yeah, I'll probably be good enough to work, but I want to be better than “good enough” and feel like that’ll take place on the graduate level for me. It's not like I've been doing this my whole life and have ten-mile-long resume ...

Dang. I was going to keep it to two sentences just to spite ya, but couldn't help myself ...
Keeps the ball ... <3 <3 <3
