There's no application to the honors program, they automatically screen every applicant for potential. Financial aid and the honors program aren't directly correlated because the honors program considers more than just gpa/ testing while financial aid is based primarily on those two. That said, being in the honors program means you are considered to be at least very close to the top of the class so you're more likely to have the stats they're looking for in scholarship award winners.
