Hey guys, i'm kind of worried about the math section of the ACT so i'd really appreciate any advice or insight.
Well here is the thing: I've already registered for the December ACT and i'm preparing with the Barron's book and i've been doing good in the English(35), Reading (35) and Science (36) sections but not so good in math (27-29), i'm having problems in the exercises that require some previous knowledge like notable triangles, functions, etc.
Do i have enough time to raise my math score to at least a 33? Can you give any tips on how to do it? As you may know admission for international students is extremely competitive and i need a full-scholarship so i need a 34+ composite.

But for math, I went up from a 30 to a 35 in about a month. Just take a practice test and review the questions you missed to get the basic concept. I had problems with inverse sin/cos/tan but once I learned the rules and kept practicing those, I would get them right ever time.

About the science part you need to be very focused, all the info is contained in the text and graphs, so i'd recommend you to make some notes of the important things (characteristics of the experiment) so you don't have to go back to the text for every question. Pay close attention to the charts.
Improving the reading part is going to take a little more effort, you have to study vocabulary, a lot, and you have to practice so you can read faster; what i do is take a look at the questions before reading so i know what to look for in the text. Good luck.
