so the UC's ACT scores are due 31 of Dec. So i guess that means they wont get them. Would the UC's understand? Would the ACT's deliver 'em quickly? I haven't told the ACT to send my scores, so should I do so without knowing my Dec. scores?

Wow.

Everyone, PLEASE READ POST #14:
FAQ for December ACT Test Takers

Quote:
***

I have just called ACT and confirmed the following:

* ACT has finished uploading all scores for the day.
* ACT WILL resume the scoring process after Christmas with more scores to be posted on Friday, December 28th (despite what is stated in the OP).

Hang on tight. I have not received scores either, and they told me a large portion of the scores are still in the scoring process and haven't been uploaded yet. Just hope for Friday.

I just called and yelled at them as well. The poor guy sounded scared of me! lol

I was like, "So you mean to tell me that since it still says 'registered' that my scores are still being processed?"

"Yes."

"Now what does that mean?"

"I can't tell exactly where they are, but they are still being scored and processed."

"Oh great! This better not be like the October one. You guys are ridiculous. . . it has been over two months!"

"I know and I'm sorry ma'am, we are trying to get the October ones resolved this weekend."

(I didn't even take the October one) "Good, you better."

Hahahaha...

however fun that may be, we probably should be nice. Everytime I call they are so helpful. It isn't their fault the slow techies in back can't keep up.

Does anybody have any idea as to what can be done about the issue
that akybaky or bellpower brought up?

well mostschools say on their website that they accept scores from december. BC for example says as long as December is the latest test date for any of the twotests, tehy will accept it. So checkthe website or Email the school askg if theyll acceptDecember schools. That's the best you could do.

UGHHHH! I'm on the east coast and I don't have my scores and I really need them so I can decide whether or not to send them by JAN 1! Where are all you guys located? Do you think this has to do with a certain geographical area that just isn't getting their scores?!

^ Not statewide location. I have a friend who took the test like, 50 miles from my location, she got her scores on the 19th, and me and all my friends who took it in our location are still waiting.

Now, I cannot even log in; have their servers crashed? I just keep reminding myself that 100 years from now people will laugh at the 'dismal science' behind the SAT and ACT, much the way we now laugh at those who used to measure aptitude, a century ago, by tracing the contours of the skull. You would think that these psychometric corporations would have their act together. Its a scam. Colleges pay nothing, but have a very low cost way to rationalize and justify decisions. The validity of those decisions, using these tests, is only slightly better than random selection; 'statistically significant', but very weak relationship with capacity and potential. As I tell my son, who is cussing up a storm, the purpose of the 25th high school reunion is to confirm that these stats do not predict 'jack'.

To those who have 1/1 deadlines. We have two schools with 1/1 deadlines. Lots of colleges grant staff the week off, untill the second. They will face a stack of electronic and paper reports to sort. Universities make the federal government look efficient. They may not notice. To cover our butts, we forwarded the SAT scores, paying $26 extra to get the scores there before 1/1. Assuming the ACT scores are better, we will merely request that they use the ACT instead; and trust that they comply with the request.

I am having same problem as akybaky and bellpower.
I am going to email UC, but I do not think they will reply before 26 Dec (4 days before scores are due)...

So if you guys email and get reply please post it here and if you find any other thread with this same topic please post it here.

Thanks,
