are there any RocketReview type of ACT books?

I used the Real ACT prep guide. I don't know about rocketreview, but I liked the book I mentioned because it was made by the makers of the test (like the Blue Book for SAT if you are familiar). I used it for the practice tests, so I didn't get to read the content, but the practice alone helped. And I hear the content's good too.
There are probably other books from the standard companies, PR, Kaplan, etc. but I haven't used them. Well, I did get Barrons and look through it for English/Reading and it was pretty good. But you can't go wrong with the Real guide.

I reccomend 3 sources. First, the Red Book by the makers of the ACT. It has 3 old ACT tests that are very accurate at prediciting how you'll do on the real thing. Second, the Pricenton Review: Cracking the ACT. It refreshes all that material you might of forgotten over the years and brings to light all the question types and how to answer them. However, the Reading section in PR is crappy so I reccomend using sparknotes online, which is free, to cover that section.

I've also heard that Kaplan was effective for the reading section

My two favorites were the Real ACT Guide and Princeton Review.

Princeton Review was really good. Knew nothing about the test, read it a week before the test = 34!
