Okay so I scored a 26 on the Math on the Feb ACT. I took 6 SAT Math Blue Book tests. I went over the answers for each one I got wrong and by the 6th test I was making 740s on the math tests. I then took a PR Math Test and scored a 26. Went over the ones I got wrong. Took another PR Test and got a 28. Went over the ones I had wrong again. Whipped out a Real ACT Math test. Scored a 34 on it. Went over the 2 I had wrong or was it 3? Then took another Real ACt test and got a 32. Went over the ones I had wrong again. Now I just took the Math part of Barron's diagnostic exam and scored a 26 on it I believe. I missed 18 which would give me 42/60 right which I believe is a 26. I have no clue on how to grade the barron's one...

So...***? Is this **** real or am I just fluking this? I know people who score like 24s and 25s on Barrons and get 34s and 35s on actual tests. I am just wondering because an increase like this in a couple of days is unbelieveable. I had taken those 2 Real ACT Tests before, but that was like 2-3 months ago. I don't know if that was due to increased testing ability or my remembering answers. I also scored like 21s and 22s last time around. I hope I can increase my english, science, and reading in the same way within the next 3 weeks.

Barron's is VERY hard, don't try and judge yourself based on that book.

I got a 24 on their diagnostic test (two days before the ACT, I'm a slacker) and then got a 34 on the actual ACT.

Yes but with a 26 that would translate to my 34 and 32 I made. This makes me believe that I am at the level I need to be for math. However, I am shocked it only took like a few days to increase my math so much.

k. Took a Barron's test and made a 23 on it, but I wasn't in a testing mood and kinda gave up on it. Then I took a Math test in the PR 1296 book and scored a 29 on it (missed 10 ?s). Also was a little sluggish. This is a bit confusing to me.

I am gonna go hit up some more practice tests and see what happens.

Don't overwork yourself. Barron's ACT tests are known to be very hard. If you're getting 30+ in the Real ACT book then you probably will get a similar score on the real thing.

Yeah but I scored poorly on the PR tests...***...I thought those were supposed to be easy.

I'll admit there is a big discrepancy between your Real ACT and PR tests... Don't freak out though!! Between those two tests, I would go with the Real ACT test any day. Not because of the higher score, but because of the accuracy of the test. If you're still insecure, just brush up on your skills. Don't make this a bigger deal than it is. It never helps to be too stressed out leading up to a test. If you don't do well on the ACT, you can always take the SAT.

I find the PR 1296 tests a bit different that the Real ACT ones though... They had a lot of huge word problems that required me to take a good amount reading, and a lot of huge charts. I didn't even finish every question this time around. Well last time I guessed too for a few...

This sucks. I bet the only reason I scored those high scores earlier was because I had taken them already...idk. I did get a 26 on Barron's though. Time to take another PR 1296 Test.

I don't know where you live, but it's 3:40am here and even if it were daytime where you are now, you shouldn't take test after test :P. So you took the Real ACT tests already before you took them again? If that's the case the you're obviously going to get a higher score subsequent times unless you have a bad memory lol.

After a few more tests, or when you're nearing your test date, try taking this test: http://www.act.org/aap/pdf/preparing.pdf . It's obviously made by the ACT and should give you a somewhat accurate score.

I had taken one of them last october and the other in december. I didn't really remember the answers but I remembered how to work them.

And after reviewing the second PR 1296 test I realize I should have made like a 31. I had a good bit of careless errors...

I also have to take test after test because the april test is steadily approaching.

Oh and some more great news, 6 of the 11 I missed were stupid, idiotic mistakes. ugh. Should of made like a 32. 2 of the 5 that weren't mistakes were ones I never even got to...

Damn I need to pay attention to these damn questions so I can get rid of these dumb mistakes.

Don't worry about PR 1296 questions... It's harder than the real test and there's also some typos in there...

Really? The tests do seem similar to Barron's except the math tests aren't loaded with a bunch of inscribed angle circle questions like the Barron's one.

Anyone care to explain how I increased my score so much in a matter of days? Everyone is on here saying you need to prep for months to get the increases I got in a matter of days. Of course I am sacrificing a lot of sleep. Been getting maybe 2-3 hours of sleep. If I am not at school or working out I am usually at home taking tests or reviewing answers.

k. So I made a 24 in February on the English Part. Just took 2 PR tests. First one I made a 31 on and finished in 37 minutes. Second one I made a 30 on and finished in 36ish minutes.

I had taken the first one before in January, and I had a 29 on it then untimed...I didn't really remember the answers. Only for one question I did but that was it. I just zoomed through the section. Never took the second one ever before today.

The second test I got a lot wrong within the first 40 questions, but after that I had none wrong.

The increase in scores may be due to the fact i read sparknotes before taking these two tests. It was like PRs english section except with even more detail. Could this be why I increased my score so much? This is seeming very weird to me. I am increasing from 20s to 30s so quickly.
