You are aware that almost no good schools accept the ACT without writing, including UF.

I feel like I can have a range of 25-28. 27 is the most likely. Eeep.

Rtgrove: Really? That's what I've been wanting to know. So my previous writing scores will be accepted with my new composite score from this time?

Shizzle- I'm not sure about that. However, I do think that say you get a 34 on the ACT w/o writing and then you get a 32 on the ACT with a 10 on the writing. The college should basically see you as a person with a 34 with a 10 on essay. At least, thats how Rice said they do it.

THIS TIME'S PREDICTION:
31-33 E
29-31 M
26-28 R
24-26 S

Composite: 29

LAST TIME:
26 E
24 M
22 R
22 S

Composite: 24

From the practice tests I've taken, I can consistently get a composite of 28-30, so hopefully I get the 29.

I guarantee the majority of you won't get the scores you think you will. I will, however, be honest:

English 28
Math 27
Reading 24
Science 23
Writing 8 or 9

Composite = 26

Although studying for the ACT has been practically non-existant for me up until now, any tips/tricks regarding the reading and science sections would be greatly appreciated (don't reply if you don't know your ****).

I'm hoping for a 28 in September.

buy barron's "ACT 36"
the tips in there are phenomenal.

i finished most sections (including science!) with five minutes left to check over answers.

as for me i feel like i'd jinx myself by posting my predicted score..

I think I did alright as a whole
English - 31
Math - 34
Reading - 29
Science - 29 or 30
Essay - 8 (absolutely one of the worst essays I have ever written, I was not interesting in the subject matter at all "Do you think it's distracting for students to focus on multiple things while doing homework" or something along those lines. I might and probably will get less than a 8 on the essay, but I am hoping for the best).

If it doesn't go well, I still have my 2270 on my SAT.

First.... My thoughts were that English was harder than usual. Math/Science was around the same compared to previous ACT tests. Then I thought Reading was easier than usual. With that in mind here is what I think I got...

English: 28
Math: 34
Reading: 32
Science: 30
Essay:10

Overall: 31

I have taken the ACT twice before and got 30's both times.

English: 30+
Math: 34
Reading: 28+
Science: 26+
Writing: 10+

Yeah...I hate science (though I'm good at it in school...the ACTs clearly does not define my ability in the science area...).
