Urgent! Q on the writing section.

K, here's the deal. I'm taking the ACT tomorrow (Sunday). I first took it in March and got an 11 on the writing, which I'm obviously very satisfied with.
I'm registered tomorrow for the ACT w/ writing. Do I have to retake the writing section if I'm fine with what I've already got but still want to retake the rest of the test?
Can I just use the first writing score and not take it again?

I've heard different things from people, I'm SO CONFUSED.
Thanks guys, I really need to know within the hour!

NO! Take the writing. Many (most) colleges will not accept an ACT unless is is w/ writing. I know it's stupid, but you need to have a writing section with EACH ACT. So yes, definitely take the writing.

Even if I'm wrong its only 35 minutes of your life...just take it.

I mean ya most colleges would prefer you take the writing as much as possible. However, my school GC who is very good at getting kids into ivys says that taking the writing once or twice is enough. Colleges simply want to see how you right in a given amount of time. So, ya I wouldnt stress too about taking the writing every time.
