the Science section rarely ever needs any science background, its all about comprehension (think of it as another reading section, maybe this will help you out)
99.9% of answers can be found in applications to the text
the math, practice practice practice
use different books/tests
go back on every answer and see what u did wrong, and how to get it right.
on the last week before the exam go back through all ure prac exams and look atback at every question you got wrong, and ull remember not to make the same mistakes
