Is this right?!?

Just took my first ACT practice test,

English:36
Reading:36
Math:34
Science:28?!?!?

I read Barrons ACT 36 and that helped a lot with english reading and math I'm just naturally good at though I am disappointed in the 34..WT* is wrong with my science section? Can anybody who got like a 32 or better help me out on that..

The science section is incredibly hard, most people really struggle with it. A 28 is really not that bad, but if you would like to improve, i would suggest specifcally doing science practice tests over and over again. If your not really a science person, your not going to do your best on it, but you can definitely practice the skills necessary to do well on it. I got a 36 on the science, but it was definitely somewhat to do with luck: I definitely didn't expect it, nor should anyone. Good Luck.

I'm with ElephantMan. I am a science person but still science is probably the hardest for me. It's not really about science, its about understanding charts and graphs, and drawing conclusions from the given info. So the best thing you can do is timed practice.
Good Luck!

Science has been my problem too (I've gotten 26-28 the three times Ive taken it but 33-35 on all the other sections). I used to read the entire passage for everything carefully but then run out of time on the questions (and panic). In October, I think I prob got at least 34 on the science (fingers crossed) and I just briefly skimmed each passage and spent more time on the questions.

very few questions, maybe 2-4, require scientific knowledge not given in the text. all the science section requires you to do is interpret graphs and analyze experiments and infer outcomes, etc. time is a real pain though.
