This was a really great story... although, for me, I think that being rejected from almost everywhere would be too much for me.

Thanks for a glimmer of hope in an otherwise miserable process. I really needed this.

Thank you so much for posting this. It is exactly what I needed to hear. I was just deferred from my dream school, and I'm trying to figure out what to do next and accept the fact that there really is a good chance I won't get in. You're story is really inspiring and I'm sure it has helped dozens of high school kids like myself.

THANKYOU. :]

Seriously, this is the only one of these posts that I've actually felt inspired by... thank you so much. ;-)

OP, your post needs to be read by a lot of applicants, both now and on April 1. One's life isn't defined by an adcom's decision.

This makes me so excited about college, no matter where I end up. Though I've been accepted to a college that I like very much, I was deferred from my dream school yesterday, and it was a blow. I have eight or so more schools to hear from by April, so the stress is just beginning, but I'm excited for the adventure that awaits at the end of the tunnel. thanks so much for sharing your story!

Great story! I really agree with the statement:

"Brown's loss is Kent's gain!"

This is really inspiring, since I fear that I won't be able to go to my dream schools as an undergrad. I know I'll end up happy some place!

Wow, your post is really good! I love that you wrote to enjoy the ride. I have to admit that I am a little stressed, but I do believe that things work out for the best! I do also know that I will go somewhere. I also want to say that I'm proud of myself for at least trying to get into some very awesome schools (as you should also be)! I truly thank you for posting :0)

Your post is so inspiring! I know people that have been destroyed when they didn't get into their dream school, but they ended up all right in the end. Thank you for reminding all of us that life will go on!

Thanks for this. I just got deferred from Brown, but I'm more afraid of not getting in anywhere I want to go than NOT going to Brown. You're proof, though, that you can still be happy after getting rejected from EVERY single school you applied to!

Thank you so much for posting this. It really cheered me up after reading through all these chances threads (which make me feel completely hopeless). Sometimes you just have to go with the flow and let life sweep you off your feet. =]
