AOG- Life Membership

In the appointee packet, there's a form to sign up for life membership to the AOG for $650. It says $50 will be taken out of the cadet pay quarterly 3rd, 2nd and 1st class year. Otherwise, after you graduate, yearly dues are $50.

Do the current cadets sugget going with this plan? Do most Cadets do it? To me, it seems a little early to be thinking about graduation stuff . . .

i'm finishing off my 3 dig year, and have not done it yet. i'm probably going to wait until graduation and ask for it as a present, but i don't really see the point in getting it now.

i would recommend getting it though by the time you graduate. my dad just did yearly membership, but he's stuck with it and has now paid a lot more than he would have if he had just done the lifetime upfront

It's the Association of Graduates, an alumni organization.

The AOG also provides financial support for cadet programs that are not funded by the federal government. You'll start I-day at Doolittle Hall (home of AOG) and will be intially greeted by alums who are members of the AOG. Webguy, also of the AOG, will post more than 15,000 pictures of BCT. They went out their way to escort my parents around the T-zo using the elevator in the back of the library, and provided us with graduation tickets as we were going to be out there in two weeks.
