| Three digs have at least two PE courses, swimming and water survival (AKA water haze). Swimming is...well, you guessed it...a lot of swimming, some survival stuff, and the 5m scenario. Water haze is more swimming, lots of survival stuff, the 10m scenario, and the 5m scenario. |

| As bad as people say swimming and water haze are, they really aren't so bad. I wasn't a good swimmer and hated it, but did fine in the end in those two classes. I continue to swim 3x a week now thanks to learning better in those classes. |

| Yeah, being scared of heights doesn't help, either!
10m......."Ok, I have to do this! Look at the flag--Oh *&^%!--step off. Arms out, arms in. Splash. Level out. Swim toward that big white thing. There's the bulkhead! Swim under--DANG, I'm deeper than I thought! Surface sweep and clear."
It's not so bad! |

| Question: Is there any method at which you are assigned a roomate for the week? Or is it rather arbitrary? |

| I believe it was alphabetical, as my last name starts with Y and my roommates last names began with W and W |

| lol, my name starts with an A and my roommate started with an S
mostly, they were done by elements I think. a few of the "extras" stayed with others. |

| well, judging by the number of actual cadets, the odds are better at the academy than at Michigan Tech (I know a few guys who are going there). Michigan tech has about 17% of students being female compared to the Academy having 21%. It's not too much better, but at least there are more options! |
