| Willing to write basics letters... I got a couple addresses from basics prior to inprocessing but I offered a bit late and missed a lot of them. If anyone has a "roster" of basics from this board or any of you parents (particularly if your child was active on this site) care to share your sons' and daughters' addresses, I'd be happy to contribute to their mail. Getting mail is definitely one of the highlights of BCT!
PM me with any addresses, thanks in advance.

| That is so generous! We went to the April 21st orientation and met a very enthusiastic young man named Evgeny. During conversations with him, it seems that neither of his parents is very supportive of his enrollment at USAFA. Anyone willing to drop a line would, I'm sure, brighten this kid's day.

| Uncynical...where are you at if you don't mind me asking...I am guessing you just got the 1st nice pay raise, I still remember how for the 1st 4 yrs those raises meant the world to us...we had to wait for 4 more for the next jump (8 yr flight) and than the major pay was nice too! Bonuses also make the world of difference |

| Momofmuff I always wanted a Son. I have three daughters, a wife, and two female dogs. Maybe I'll adopt Evgeny. AT least I'll be sure to send him mail during Basic. |

| I'm at Randolph right now. I work with senior NCOs to write enlisted promotion tests. It's not exactly flying, but due to circumstances, I guess that jujst wasn't meant to be. I did recently get my raise, which was very nice. It barely covers the portion of my Master's courses that tuition assistance does not pick up (although books are on top of that). Overall, life is very good.
To the parents: Thanks for the addresses so far (keep them coming!)... I will get to the letter writing very soon. |

| Uncynical I have often asked potter if she doesn't get to fly what she will do. Yesterday I took out to the OSI at Nellis. She met with the Commander an AFA grad and he told her baout what they do. Tomorrow she will meet with the PA officer, and the EOD later in the week. We never know where we will end up. I started in the hospital with the dream of finishing school and getting bars. I ended up finishing in the Fire Department a career that has no Officers only SNCO's.
I have also asked Potter if she doesn't see herself returning to USAFA later in life as a Teacher or an AOC. The Air Force has a lot of opportunities, and even if you don't get to fly or something happens that ends that dream early you still have paths to walk.
By the way that multiple choice question 14 is a trick question and should really be tossed JK. |

| Sent a letter to Evgeny this morning. Should be there by Thursday if the Cadre let them get it. Got a feeling he is about to experience the Big Blue Family. |

| Letters and cards out to Evgeny, Buckaroo (belated bday!),and our MissMuff. Does anyone know of any other cadets who need a boost or hug from Steeler Country? I just got home from the post office and card shop... no danger of them going out of business for the next 4 years. |
