Chance a college student

I'll just get to the facts:
ACT Composite: 32
Math 36
English 32
Reading 29
Science 32

SAT: 1260
Math: 700
English: 560

High School GPA:
3.93 Weighted
3.46 Unweighted

College GPA
Rising junior, 3.33 as a finance major at the University of Illinois U-C

High School extracurriculars:
A little bit of everything, only sport was track and field. No leaderships though but was on the student government.

College extracurriculars:
A lot more involved, quite a few leadership positions in clubs and my fraternity.

Job:
Manager at a restaurant.
Also a couple volunteering things I've done in the past.

Long story short, I've always wanted to go to the AFA but due to family issues couldn't even apply but since I'm starting to really dislike college at a big university I want to give it a shot.

Age limit? If you are a rising junior that means you will be 21 this year, correct? Im guessing you are going for class of 2013, so won't you be over the age limit?

IIRC, you only have to enter before your 23rd birthday, so you should be fine in that regard.

ACTs are good, SAT math is good. Any idea why there's such a large discrepancy in English between the SAT and the ACT? I'm not exactly sure what GPAs tend to be like at most schools, but a 3.33 here is very good. Some ECs, some work experience - I'd say you're definitely in the mix. Keep working hard, keep the grades up, and good luck.

no real explanation to the discrepancy, I just thought the particular SAT I took was a bit tougher and with the penalties and stuff...IMO College board=anti-Christ. i wouldn't have listed it in my pre-application but i figured they wanted all the information they could get and would be a little skeptical if i didn't tell them right away like i was hiding something. also I only just turned 20 (yea a bit young for my age group) and yes it also said you have to be at most 23 when you enter.

The board takes the highest of either SAT or ACT, in your case the ACT, and seeing as the Math is a 36 (max), and your composite is above th.eir avg, you are sitting pretty good in that area.

Now work on your CFA.

Candidate Fitness Assesment
The fitness test that they use to gauge your physical activity/strength levels. Push-ups, Sit-ups, Chin-ups, mile run, shuttle run, Basketball toss. It's explained quite well on the Pre-Candidate guide off the application page on academyadmissions.
