I don't mean to be stupid, but what is LOA?
I got a nomination last friday from Rep R. M. Hall to USAFA and USNA?
I can't figure out how to write one of these things.

wait i'm somewhat confused cap_newmann, do you have an appointment then or no? and what kind of miscommunication are you talking about in regards to an LOA?

random question about appointment: online after i got my nomination it said recieved in the nomination box but where it had previously said "letter of assurance" in the status box it now says complete...is that normal? ha my admissions officer said i will be recieving my appointment packet in the mail in the next couple of days so im sure im fine but i dont want anything to go wrong now that ive made it to this point!

Yes - it's perfectly normal. Same thing happened with my son who also had an LOA. His status changed back to complete for about a week and then appt package arrived in the mail. A few days after the packet arrived, his status changed again to appt offered.

Be patient (easy to say...hard to do sometimes) but it should be on the way soon. Congratulations.

Actually my son's status changed to "complete" after the MOC got his nomination to AFA, then status changed to "Appointment Offered" (he had an LOA) so we knew the appointee packet was on the way. The packet came in the mail a couple of days after his status changed to "Appointment Offered".
