Well, at least one First shirt got a little chill last night!...and let me add, if you're involved, there's a teeny little price you'll pay

Our First Shirt left yesterday to go with cycling team somewhere. I guess we will have to wait for the next snow, the more the better.

Nobillity......when CG01/CC gets back from competition tonight, I have a bad feeling since JG is off cycling....

flymom, don't give anything away please.

Cad - Have fun with him. Great guy, but you got some huge guys in my class to watch out for!

Not too bad of a snow, but my 4 dig year our first good snow (second actual one) was over a foot to toss the first shirt in!

My squad was one of the few that attempted it last night. My roomates and I were all in bed when we started getting knocks on our door from upperclassmen. They kept saying how we were too scared to do it (using choice words of course). We agreed there wasn't enough snow on the ground, and on top of that we knew the upperclassmen were ready for us. But after about 20 minutes of getting hassled, we finally decided to just go for it. When all of us freshmen got to our first shirts door, we know there was something fishy because the hallway was deserted. we politely knocked, and much to our dismay, the door opened revealing about 15 guys standing in front of the first shirt. On top of that, there were large trunks blocking the entrance. There was only one thing to do . . . hurl yourself in and hope you didn't land on your head. After about 20 minutes of chaos in the room, we were finally able to get him into the hallway. But the battle wasnt even half over. We still had to get him to the elevator, try to get the door closed, try to get him out of the elevator, and then finally wrestle him into the snow. Once we were on ground level, he took off running, but one of the females in my squad jumped on to his back, and went for the ride of her life. It was a great time! there were many battle wounds but no one got seriously injured (amazingly!).

We were planning on doing it over here, but it was our shirt's birthday and so we made other plans and are waiting on the first REAL snow.

We decided to do it next time... we have to come up with a good plan, our first shirt is pretty much a judo master from what we here, should make for an interesting brawl!

From the USAFA Wiki:

First Snow First Shirt or First Shirt First Snow is an "operation" conducted by fourth class cadets against the squadron's Cadet First Sergeant. On the night of the first snow of the season, the smacks storm the first sergeant's room, kidnap him, strip him down to his boxers and carry him outside to drag him around in the snow. Much like nuking, the severity of the operation often depends on the standing of the first sergeant in the eyes of the smacks. A well-liked or well-respected cadet first sergeant will normally not get much more than the cermonial dragging-through-the-snow. A less-liked or less-respected first sergeant may be bound, nuked in addition, or brought to near-hypothermia.

The Cadet First Sergeant is the senior ranking second class cadet in a cadet squadron. The Cadet First Sergeant holds the rank of Cadet/Senior Master Sergeant. At the first snowfall of the year, the Cadet First Sergeant is subject to First Snow First Shirt.
