Info on min scores: AFOQT - Questions, Study Guides, Practice Tests Quote: Pilot (Minimum score requirements for pilot candidates shown below.) This composite measures some of the knowledge and abilities considered necessary for successful completion of pilot training. The Pilot composite includes subtests which measure verbal ability, knowledge of aviation and mechanical systems, the ability to determine aircraft altitude from instruments, knowledge of aeronautical concepts, the ability to read scales and interpret tables, and certain spatial abilities.
Pilot score of 25
Navigator score of 10
Combined Pilot and Navigator score of 50
Verbal score of 15
Quantitative score of 10
Academic score has no minimum

And honestly, based on taking it, if you are getting a 10 on any section, you might be 2 years old.

Haha, however much fun I get out of making fun of hornet's brainiac nature, he's right on this one. Everyone I talked to scored an average of over 80 (many in the low to mid 90s).

I don't know of anyone that was in the 70s (I know there were, but none of my friends were). My scores were something like 99, 99, 99, 97, 94. I DO NOT do well on standardized tests, so that tells me it was easier if I did that well.

Of course for parents of any military child we want them to stay a little bit longer, because airfare to overseas is more expensive than state side and means a larger amount of time away...pretty hard to jaunt to Germany for a 3 day weekend when you live in CA
