We were planning on visiting AU the third week of August but they are only doing info sessions no tours after August 10th! It is too far to go NOT to get a guided tour so I guess this trip will have to be postponed to another time. I guess it would be better to go when students are around anyway. (But we were hoping to do this on the way to a vacation.
scoutmom9,
I know its an annoyance, but its really is better to see the school when students are around and out on the campus. I saw some schools in Aug when they were more or less empty and have gone back to the same schools in October when students are out and about, you really do get a better feel for the school when people around, things are open etc.
There will be a lot of new students on campus then--the dorms open for new first years to move in on August 15, and the FSE program begins on August 17, i believe.
I'll be on campus starting the 20th. Thats when upperclassmen can move in I think. I'd be glad to after then. Or put you in contact with my friend who works for the school as a tour guide and is living on campus over the summer!
