i'm still thinkin about my common app essay. My GC says he needs the packet soon. I'm concentrating on that for the time being

You have to give all your Common App materials to your GC? Ours just wants the counselor's recommendation. She basically said at the meeting that she doesn't know anything about the process and will only be filling out that one form.

ohh........my mistake. yeah the GC looks after a lot. But i just found out that my essay is not due until the college deadline. That's a huge relief.

I've been planning on applying ED to Amherst for a few months now, but my parents decided I needed to compare financial aid packages. They think I have a huge chance at Harvard (which is bull, but I can't seem to convince them of that) and, if I get into Harvard, it'll be less expensive because of our income level. I'm going to apply RD to both and just hope for an acceptance to Amherst. Good luck to everyone!
