Any of you people know that Amherst is your clear first choice? This is your (our!) thread.
(I'm not expecting to find too many people who'd pick Amherst over, say, the Ivies on CC, but just in case any of you are out there... )

Actually, you know, this is your thread even if you're just applying to Amherst at all for the class of '14...

I'm applying to Amherst but I'm not sure if I'm applying RD or ED.

Its still on my doubtful list. If I apply it will be with a fee waiver.

| Not true, there are many that would pick Amherst over the Ivies.

I got into Cornell with even more financial aid and I still chose Amherst because it was just a better fit for me. I also know another kid in the town over who chose Amherst over Dartmouth, Cornell, Brown, and UPenn.

Okay. I'm just saying. I'm sure lots of people do, it's just that from what I've seen on CC, CC-ers are a little Ivy-obsessed. But I could be completely off base.

I'm pretty sure for Amherst ED. It's my dream school, but I have a feeling that I'm not academically competitive enough or that I have enough ECs. It might be a problem...?

Quasi, my son submitted his ED application in Nov. 2007... and is now eager to go back for his sophomore year at Amherst. He just loves it there.
