After USC and Tulane? Truly, this is just random fishing. No way you won't get into Tulane.

Well I'd say they are all 3 up there with Amherst and USC higher than Tulane. But I would be happy at any of the places.
Just crossing the fingers for Brown but I know its such a crapshoot.

That was something you wrote in another post -- Brown, then USC, then Tulane. I can see a student drawn to both Brown and Amherst, but I'm really unclear how USC, Tulane, and Amherst end up on a list together. Amherst could not be more different from the other two.
Anyway, like Brown, Amherst is a crapshoot. USC can be tough to get into, but probably not as hard as Brown/Amherst. Tulane should be a good bet.
Although people "chancing" you on CC really means next to nothing.

Thanks everyone.. Yeah, I already applied Brown ED and if i get rejected, I'd say Amherst is my second choice followed by maybe Vandy or USC. I know they are different, but i've thought a lot about it.

Any more feedback?
On another note, how is the history program at Amherst?
I've checked the website out quite a bit, just curious though. I am sure it is very solid, I was just curious if anyone had any good info on it.

Thanks..not sure if they will or if I can afford to retake though.
Excited to apply RD if I am rejected from my ED school as it looks like Amherst is probably my second choice.

Amherst doesn't look terrible... the minority status from an under-represented region like Oklahoma scores you big points and your EC's are stand-out!
Yet, your GPA barely crosses the middle 50 and your ACT is sorely lacking... I'd say another 3 points, to a 32, would do the trick! I'd say around 30-35%
Brown ED looks around the same... do you have any safeties/matches? PLEASE Chance me back!!
