I have the AMSCO United States History: Preparing for the AP Exam book. The top right corner of the front cover is a red triangle that says "Revised", and it is the newest version because I ordered it a month or so ago.
I did not get an answer key with the book, but a search on CC revealed this site:
http://www.wphs.ocps.net/tl/hansens/...swer%20Key.htm
which has the answers to the Review Questions provided at the end of each chapter. However, after checking my own answers with the "correct" answers, I'm convinced that the latest AMSCO version must have different questions, because some of the "correct" answers, at least for Chapter 1, are obviously incorrect.
Example:
Which of the following sources would be most useful in studying the development of democratic institutions in the early colonial period?
A) Edict of Nantes
B) The first charter of the Virginia Company
C) Columbus' journals
D) the Treaty of Tordesillas
E) The Mayflower Compact
(source: AMSCO, 15)
The answer is obviously E, but the answer key above says that it is B, which makes absolutely no sense.
Does anyone else have the answer key to the latest AMSCO version, and can they confirm that some of the questions have been changed from past editions?
Thanks
