AP US History - to those with the Amsco book

I have the AMSCO United States History: Preparing for the AP Exam book. The top right corner of the front cover is a red triangle that says "Revised", and it is the newest version because I ordered it a month or so ago.

I did not get an answer key with the book, but a search on CC revealed this site: http://www.wphs.ocps.net/tl/hansens/...swer%20Key.htm

which has the answers to the Review Questions provided at the end of each chapter. However, after checking my own answers with the "correct" answers, I'm convinced that the latest AMSCO version must have different questions, because some of the "correct" answers, at least for Chapter 1, are obviously incorrect.

Example:
Which of the following sources would be most useful in studying the development of democratic institutions in the early colonial period?
A) Edict of Nantes
B) The first charter of the Virginia Company
C) Columbus' journals
D) the Treaty of Tordesillas
E) The Mayflower Compact

(source: AMSCO, 15)

The answer is obviously E, but the answer key above says that it is B, which makes absolutely no sense.

Does anyone else have the answer key to the latest AMSCO version, and can they confirm that some of the questions have been changed from past editions?

Thanks

the answer is b because the question asks "development of democratic institutions in the early colonial period". The Mayflower compact has nothing to do with democratic instituions and their development, the Virginia Company would, it is kind of iffy, but i would def. go with b

Yeah i also had the same problem but the answers are right. I put E at first and then checked and I saw that it was wrong so i looked it up in the book and found that B was the correct answer.

no i think he has a point answer all the chapter 1 questions and there will be errors in the amsco answer sheet , i think only chapter 1 answers are wrong becasue chapter 1 answers match exactly chapter 3 answers and those are the only two with the same order they probably forgot to put the right answers online!!!!!!!

yes, that answer was correct, but here is another one that is obviously wrong:

The survival of Jamestown colony can best be most diectly attributed to the :
A)religious spirit
B)management of the Virginia Company
C)development of a tobacco industry
D)location of the settlement
E)noble's didligent search for gold

Than answer key says A, but is is obviously C.

Where are the correct answers?

Some people argue whether or not the Mayflower Compact is an actuall constitution. Because of this controversial status of this document, Choice B would be the obvious answer.
