they are mixed reviews for AP English Literature. Cliffs is good but outdated, Rea and PR don't have enough reviews.

well I've never taken AP English Lit and never will, so I wouldn't know. Sorry.

ivyleague, keep in mind that the list is subjective. In the end I'd just say pick a book and go with it. Maybe it's hard to understand, but if you're taking the class at the same time you'd be able to get it better? This isn't related completely, but I have Barron's AP Physics C, and if I wasn't taking the class I would have no idea what the heck Barron's is talking about, but since I am I do, and it sort of helps.

for ap us gov't & politics i highly recommend 5 steps to a 5. for my class i had one of the lowest grades b/c i never studied or read the textbook. the day before the exam i spent 10 hours basically memorizing the book & i got a 5 on the exam.

for ap chemistry i recommend princeton review. my school uses it & 98% of the ppl who took the exam got a 5.

The "5 Steps to a 5" books are really good. I would definitely recommend the U.S. History one and my friend said the Psych one is good, too.
