What is the difference between effusion and diffusion? Can someone explain these two concept to me and provide an example for each? It is confusing.

Diffusion is the spread of molecules, from areas of high density to areas of low density, in like a container or a room, or through a permeable membrane.

Effusion is specifically the rate at which molecules of a certain gas exit a container through a hole.
