I wrote about 5 pages on the US History essay, and then 2 and a half pages for each of the responses. Is that O-K?

what is the average amount to write? length does play a factor in getting better grades, cuz you can't write a comprehensiive essay in 9 senteces, you kniow what I mean?

4-5 is the average. while length matters, content is more important. i've seen amazing dbq's in 3 pages. i dont know the average dbq/essay score. im sure it varies each year, depending upon the subject.

Wow, 5 pages? Maybe I write really small, but I wrote 2 and a half for my DBQ and 1 and a half for the other two... I even thought I might be writing too much... and since I was done with about 5 minutes to spare, I counted how many words in my DBQ, and it was 600ish.

I got a 5 on APUSH and for the FRQs I remember writing like a page each LOL. maybe a page and a half for one. The DBQ was longer, maybe 3 and 1/2 pages?

if your hand writing is so messy that they can barely read it, will they give you a low score?

they will do everything they can to make it out. in the end, if they cant, you get a low score.
