Apparently all the teachers have been hinting at it.

i'm hoping that there is no complicated body system question... like explaining a body process. my teacher never reached the body system unit. i self-studied but i'm still scared.

how in-depth do they questions get? are they usually over a process/cycle you have to explain?

learn it...it really isn't that much

just make key associations with each phyla

don't over-do it though

Net efficiency, you mean? It equals NNP/GPP - net production over gross production, or (GPP - R [respiration for plants])/GPP for plants, and product [growth] /assimilation [ingested] for consumers, usually all given in kcal.

Chi-square would suck beyond all reason.

Net productivity is the amount of oxygen produced by photosynthesis - amount of oxygen used up by respiration.

Gross productivity is the amount of oxygen produced by photosynthesis.

So if we measure the change in O2 in a container with a plant performing photosynthesis, then that is net productivity. If we then measure the change in O2 of the same plant when in dark(i.e. no photosynthesis), then that is the amount of oxygen produced by respiration.

We subtract the amount of oxygen used by respiration from the net productivity to get gross productivity.

net productivity - respiration = gross productivity

Let's say net productivity is 10 L O2 and respiration uses 3 L O2.

10 - (-3) = 13 L O2 produced by photosynthesis
