So I've read through these pages and want to clarify how the rescore applies to Calc AB.

My D got As throughout Calc AB, had one of the highest averages in class, got solid to high 3s on the practice tests. She got her scores back and received a 2. Other kids in her class who did worse then she did on practice tests received a 3.

So we plan to send in a rescore request, but that only applies to MC questions. So, then we need to also request a copy of her FRQ to ensure that it wasn't lost and thus included in her score, correct? For Calc AB, the FRQ is the portion that is handwritten answers, right? (My D is attending a summer college program and I can't ask her at the moment.)

Many thanks for your help in advance....

Hey guys, first post for me on this forum.

I got my AP scores a few days ago. 4 in Gov, 4 in Physics B, and a 1 in CS! I'm scared, as I was thinking in majoring in Computer Engineering or Computer Programming, and a 1 is ruining my confidence. Physics and CS were my weak links after I took the exams(I felt like a 5 in Gov but I got a 4, not really complaining about that though). However, it is odd that I get a 4 in one exam but a 1 in the other. I'm thinking about rescoring the CS exam as I had A's all throughout the year(same with Physics).

I have a problem, however. I am out of state on vacation at the moment and will not return for another few weeks. Im not sure where my AP number is(I think I threw it out!). Is there a number that I can call to obtain it?

Thanks

I haven't received anything from the College Board yet to verify that have received my rescore request. I sent out my letter Friday, July 6th. Have any of you guys gotten anything?

I don't remember if I put in my email or not on the form. I remember putting my name, birth date, gender, address, phone number, AP number, AP subject that I wanted to re-score and a one-line sentence stating that I wanted my AP English Lang re-scored. I also included a check as well.

So, I got my ap scores back and they were way less than I had expected...a 3 in euro, 3 in calc ab, and the real shocker- a 1 in chemistry. I had been expecting 4/5 in euro/calc, and at LEAST a 3 in chem!!!! It's obvious to me that something is very wrong...but is it worth to send ALL THREE scores in to be rescored?

I received a 3 in English Language and was quite shocked because I had excelled in the class and could score pretty high on the essays. I had been expecting a 5, if not a 4 at the lowest...I was wondering if maybe I request a rescore...?

sugarlessgirl, I'm in the exact same situation as you, and I've decided to rescore. I mean, the $25 is kinda crazy, but if my score goes up it'll be worth it, and if it doesn't, at least it'll give me peace of mind, knowing I've checked all I could about the exam. And if your score doesn't increase (which I hope it will, if you rescore), remember: just because you flubbed this one exam doesn't mean you're bad at English. Don't be discouraged.

kmorgan31, okay, thanks- I think I might just do that. I had been kind of down in the dumps about the score, and I figure I have nothing to lose with requesting for a rescore

Same here. To check the score you'd have to lose the $25, but that aside...

Good luck! When you get your result, please let us know how it went! And I'll certainly post mine, too, when I get it.

About how long does it take it get your rescore request through? I sent mine a while ago, maybe two weeks and I emailed them the other day. They told me to contact them later to see the status of my request because they have might not have processed it yet.

I sent my letter on 7/19, and when I called them today, they told me that they had just received it this morning, and were beginning to process it. So not quite two weeks yet, but considering the fact that I live in New Jersey, it seems to be taking a while.

I rescored my AP Euro exam this year.

Sadly, the score apparently stayed the same.

I also ordered my FR booklet, just to make sure everything was accounted for when scoring. I haven't gotten it yet.

I faxed a request to AP for a rescore on July 20th. Sent an email the next day to confirm they received request but they said to email back in seven to 10 working days.

Today would have been the 10th working day so before I sent an email, I checked my credit card account and saw that they actually processed the charge a week after I sent the fax on July 27th.

So I'm guessing that the 5-6 week timeframe starts from the 27th.
