my schedule now: i am the OP

- Regular Eng.
- AP Chem
- Acc. Trig
- AP Gov/AP Econ
- Honors Physics
- Co-op / AP Psych / AP World History or some blowoff MS office beacuse the one of the career classes is required to do school-work.
- 7th hour co-op ( my school duznt have 7th hour so it is just like going to work after school) 12-16 hours a week.

how hard do you think this will be?

i have an offer for a Pharmacist Technician for co-op. I want to apply to those bs/md programs in 2 years. Would it hurt my chances that i am not inclined towards hospital work with doctors and instead working with pharmacists.

Okay so im still sorta confused about my schedule because im addding a COOP job in there.....soooo PLEASE HELP.

i really want to go into a BS/MD program - sidenote

To be junior schedule:

AP Gov./AP Econ
AP Chem
Honors Physics
Accounting (elective.........should i change it to like AP Psych and Comp Science?)

and 7th hour COOP Job at Hospital - afterschool everyday 3-7 PM.

now my question is how well do u think I will be able to handle this?
should i drop the COOP or a hard class? or is my schedule not hard enuf and i should add AP Psych? will my GPA suffer? will i be killing myself? pleaseee help. so lost

Ok paki. This is what I advise...no remember that I have no real knowledge but this is what I would do.

As I see it you have 2 AP classes(Chem and Gov/Econ) and 1 honors class(Physics) along with three other classes. So you basically have 2 sciences(both higher level), 2 maths (I'm assuming Accounting is more math based than anything), a history and a lit. I'm assuming that since you want to go into medicine that you are pretty good at math which means you may be able to handle so much math and science in one year. But with a job on top of that, I say that you should drop one of the sciences and save it for senior year (I'd say drop physics. Chem is probably more helpful than physics for pre-med) and then add on AP Psychology (you want to be a doctor and psychology would be helpful, at least in my opinion).

So here is my suggested schedule for you:

English 11
Acc. Trig
AP Gov./Econ
AP Chem
AP Psych
Accounting

This along with your afterschool job should be good (at least to me). You now have 3 AP classes and 3 regular classes...seems like an even load.

heretosucceed, thanks man. I put accounting in there tho cuz its a complete blowofffff. So i can usually take bunch of hwk to that class and do it its really really easy. And wouldnt it be even more difficult if i switch honors physics to like AP Psych?

lol, its really funny to see so many people on this thread filling their schedules with all AP courses... Honestly, more than 2 (maybe 3 max!) AP classes for a high school student is too much work. I don't understand how any of you expect to get all of the work done for all of these classes. I mean, cm'on some of you have all your classes AP, thats not possible for a high school student. Many of you also have a wide range of different AP courses... if your interested in a particular subject area, like math or science or history, just take those classes.


My prospective classes for next year are as follows( Senior year):
AP Calculus AB
AP Biology
Human Anatomy and Physiology
Honors English
Economics ( half year)
A bunch of other half year classes (electives)

Im doing the AP calculus and the AP Bio, because thats what I am interested in and I am going to College for Bio/Chemistry.

Well just to get a look at how a really hectic course load with that just enough factor would look like, you can take my sophomore, junior, and tentative senior schedule.I think you can handle ap chem, i smell it.

Definitely take AP English and Physics Honors; I took both those classes and am interested in the med. field myself. Both are standard; English everyone has to do (regardless of whether they actually LIKE it), and basic physics is necessary to understand anything in the sciences, as is chemistry.
