AP Calc Acceleration, Position, Velocity Questions

Can someone quickly give me a brief summary of what certain things infer when presented in a question. Im getting kind of confused.

For example,

when the velocity is equal to zero(set v(t) equal to o)

When does the particle reverse direction

More stuff along those lines.

Thanks.

velocity first derivate, accel 2nd

if v is = 0 and a is not, then it is reversing direction.

there's some more but that's the basics
