Apush raw score 64 good?

Hey,

I keep taking mocks and everytime I get 14-16 wrong lol so its 80-14 or w/e -3.5 and I get a raw score of 61-63 everytime for the multiple choice. Is this on the road for a solid 5 or a borderline?

Thanks

Mathematically you can still get a 5 with 56/80. 64/80 consistently should have you in great shape.

Is that assuming you get all 9's on your essays?

As long as you get a 60% or above on the essays, you're well into the 5 range. APUSH has one of the easier curves.

You can get that 56/80 and a 7/9 on your essays and be WELL Within a 5 range. Honestly people get so uptight about AP Exams except the only AP exam that is graded hard [besides languages] is AP US Government, all the other ones as long as you are able to pass the exam [meaning a 70% or above], you almost always automatically get a 5. If you get a C+ you should get a 5 no matter what. Trying to get a B- is just being an overachiever.

The general cutoff is 2/3 of the raw score. It's roughly around 121/180 that you can get a 5 in. Getting a 64 is an EXCELLENT score as long as you get 6 or more on the essays.

**** your pants when you open your DBQ.

Go over the Princeton Review, they have pretty good strategies. Also AP: Free-Response Questions for past essays.

I'm taking AP Lang and I know my USH. I can make a cohesive essay, don't worry about it.

I think the reason the curve is easy is because most people simply have a panic attack during the exam, forget everything, waste time, and thus fail. Don't be one of those people, and you'll get a 5.

Is that seriously how easy that is to get a 5?!

Our teacher is such a liar. haha. I guess it works though since a good portion of the class gets ~75% right on old AP exams. Yay! Having gotten an 80% on one of those without preparation makes me feel a lot more confident.
