Isn't 2d asking for L''(5.5)? How the rate of people in the line was changing? Essentially, how L'(5.5) was changing so it will be in people/hrs^2

If on 2(b) I found the total instead of the average (forgot to divide by 4) will I only lose one point?

I am so STUPID

and how much are 4(a) and (b) worth? I forgot to start at -2.

UGH

We all make silly mistakes. You should get a 5 if you did well on the MC and most of the FR.

Can someone estimate what I got? lol

-Didn't divide by 4 on 2(b)
-Didn't start at -2 on 4(a), 4(b)
-Missed 6(d)
-Think I missed 5(c)
-On 1(b) I think I accidentally evaluated (does this matter? lol)

So I missed 2(b), 4(a), 4(b), 6(d), 5(c)
and I think I got the rest...

On the MC I was sort of confident and only skipped 3 total.

I keep doing the math over and over again to find the second derivative of past 6c, but it NEVER comes out right. Maybe one of you can point out my foolishness (luckily, its the only mistake I made all test).
For simplicity, yd=first derivative, ydd=second derivative
yd=-2 (that I know for fact...at least I hope so)=3y/4-y^2/8
ydd=3yd/4 - 2y*yd/8 = 3*(-2)/4 - 2*8*(-2)/8=-3/2 + 4 = 5/2
The answer however, when I integrate and then differentiate is 1/2.
Besides some stupidity I just can't see yet, thought it was an amazing test.

for the eulers one i accidently forgot to multiply by delta x for the 2nd term and I did for the first but not the second...but my work showed the euqation with delta x
I'm afraid Euler's method usually is graded with 1 point for doing two correct steps and 1 point for the actual answer.

and also for the trapeziodal..i forgot to divide by 4
It depends on how the points are distributed, but it is probably only -1/

Quote:
and for the slope feild i forgot to include the range above six but i did include 0 to 6
Probably -1.

how many point would i lose for each circumstance

How is Euler's method graded? My teacher taught us to do a table...

My table included x| y | dy/dt and on the side, a formula y(new) = y(old) + (dy/dt)(h), where h = .5

I also arrived at 6.56 or 105/16

Screwed up 2c entirely, found f(x) for 5c but didn't plug in f(3), and had (6,8) instead of (6,8].

I'm thinking a 49/54?

*EDIT* I also did not do Lagrange Error Bound, so 47/54...

wow I can't believe I solved the intervals correctly for 5(c) and then decided there was no interval

:S :S oh well I guess that's only -1 then?

Being as pessimistic as possible: 7,9,9,9,3,2 = 39. Is that in the 5 range?

Oh and 32ish on the m.c....So 71/108
